This boy is playing on a Caribbean beach on Curaçao, called Playa Kenepa Grandi. This beach scene has been painted with oil paint on an acrylic background. The painting is part of her continuing series Beach Life, for which she paints beach scenes from around the world. This painting is part of a series of six paintings commissioned by the Curaçao Postal Service and also used to create a special series of stamps.
